God First: Week 1: Life Without Christ

So often, we are told to keep our focus on the Lord. We are told to live our lives for Him. Sometimes, when we so often hear something all the time, we can become numb to the importance of something. I want to challenge you to look at your relationship with God from a different perspective. What if you didn't have God in your life? What if you could not seek the Lord's help? What if God didn't listen to you? What if God liked you or knew of you but didn't love you?

If all we ever hear is that the Lord loves us and that He cares about us, that can cause us to forget what an incredible blessing His love is. If you knew that no one knew all your thoughts, no one knows your future, no one could give you hope, how would that make you feel?

I want to challenge you, the next time that you feel far from the Lord, imagine your life without Him. Imagine that He wasn't real. That helps me change my perspective.

Bible : Introduction Post

This will probably be one of my favorite subjects to give presentations about! I've had four years of college at Moody Bible Institute and been a believer in Jesus for the past 18 years! The Bible is so fascinating to me. For my Bible teaching posts, I will be sharing basic information about the Bible and how we got the Bible.

The reason that I love studying the basics of the Bible and how we got it is because it helps me to strengthen my faith in Jesus and helps me to give new believers good reasons to believe in the validity of the Scriptures! Knowing why I believe the Bible is the Word of God has been so helpful for me.

I'm very excited to be digging into the structure and the history of the Bible with anyone who is wanting to learn more! I will be making a weekly Bible post every Tuesday! So excited! I love you guys so much!
